Account deletion information is public so that it can be read without authentication. This page provides the approved instructions; it does not create a website-side deletion request service.
How to request deletion
- In the app, open Settings > Delete account, or visit https://vmemoo.com/account-deletion.
- Authenticate or complete proportionate identity verification.
- Choose the outcome for memorials you administer: delete where authorised, transfer to an eligible co-administrator, or request review.
- Review the deletion explanation and confirm the request.
- Vmemoo sends confirmation and completes active-system deletion within the published period, subject to stated exceptions.
What deletion means
Deletion removes or irreversibly anonymises account data and User Content controlled solely by the account, subject to memorial administration choices, legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, active disputes and backup expiry. Content independently posted by another user is not automatically deleted merely because it mentions or depicts you, but you may submit a privacy, rights or memorial complaint.
Data export and other rights
Use Settings > Request my data or https://vmemoo.com/privacy-request to request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection or another applicable right. Vmemoo will respond within the legally required period and explain any lawful refusal or extension and available appeal.
No dark patterns
The deletion path must be reasonably easy to find, must not require contacting support when authentication is available, and must not pressure a user to remain. Deleting the app is not account deletion. A publicly accessible web route is required for Google Play account-creation apps.
