Safety tools
Vmemoo provides reporting architecture and administrative moderation handling for relevant content including memorials, Prayers and comments, profiles and individual direct messages. Blocking and unblocking, content removal and account suspension capabilities may be used where appropriate. Vmemoo is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services for immediate danger.
Review and moderation
- Review the report, content or account context and the applicable Community Guidelines or safety concern. Reports involving a living person falsely represented as deceased, child or teen safety, or a credible threat may be prioritised based on risk and severity.
- Preserve the minimum evidence needed and restrict visibility where immediate harm or serious privacy exposure is plausible; restricting content makes it temporarily non-public and is distinct from permanent deletion.
- Apply proportionate administrative handling, which may include content removal, visibility or interaction restrictions, blocking, suspension or referral to authorities where legally appropriate. Following review, Vmemoo may, where appropriate, reinstate restricted content or restore access after a suspension.
- Provide an explanation or a manual review/appeal path by email at info@vmemoo.com where required and practicable, without exposing another person's private information or compromising safety; Vmemoo does not currently provide an in-app appeal-status dashboard.
What can be reported
Use the relevant Report action for a memorial, Prayer, comment, profile or individual direct message where available. Reports should identify the content and reason for concern without including passwords, authentication tokens, payment credentials or other secrets. Reporter identity is not normally disclosed to the reported user through the ordinary reporting process, though disclosure may occur where required by law, necessary for safety, or necessary to investigate abuse. Retaliation against reporters is prohibited.
Emergency and illegal content
Vmemoo may make or preserve disclosures to authorities where law requires or permits and where necessary and proportionate to protect life, safety, rights or the integrity of an investigation. Requests from authorities are reviewed for validity, scope and jurisdiction. Safety questions may be sent to info@vmemoo.com.
