Safety tools
Vmemoo provides in-context reporting, account blocking, visibility controls and moderation review. Blocking should prevent direct interaction and reduce reciprocal visibility to the extent technically feasible. Reports are treated confidentially but not anonymously where identity is needed for due process or law.
Review process
- Triage for imminent danger, child sexual exploitation, credible threats, non-consensual intimate imagery and severe privacy exposure.
- Preserve the minimum evidence needed and restrict access where immediate harm is plausible.
- Assess the content, context, account history, reporter information and applicable rule or law.
- Apply a proportionate action and notify affected users where safe and required.
- Provide an appeal path and conduct a fresh review by a person not solely responsible for the original decision where practicable.
Emergency and illegal content
Vmemoo is not an emergency service. Users should contact local emergency services for immediate danger. Vmemoo may make or preserve disclosures to authorities where law requires or permits and where necessary and proportionate to protect life, safety, rights or the integrity of an investigation. Requests from authorities are reviewed for validity, scope and jurisdiction.
Transparency
Vmemoo maintains moderation records and publish periodic aggregate transparency information once scale makes this meaningful, including report categories, actions, appeals and response times, without compromising privacy or security.
